Engage your brain and your body in new ways in each class--you will learn to move more easily, more comfortably and maybe even more playfully. Lessons are customized to your needs and curiosity and seek to improve comfort in any daily activity or hobby. Discover a fun and easy movement method, while improving physical movements, sense of balance and overall well being.
InterPlay
InterPlay is an improvisational practice that playfully explores the things a body can do - move, make sounds, tell stories, sing, and experience stillness. It is based on life-affirming, body wisdom principles and the transformative power of play. InterPlay is now taught in 40 U.S. cities and in a growing number of foreign countries. Mindful Based Stress Reduction with Erica Rayner-Horn *Returns Fall 2011
An 8-week course of guided instruction in the mindfulness practices of meditation, body
awareness and mindful yoga, based on the renowned program by Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD at the Stress Reduction Clinic of UMass Medical School.
You will learn to:
- Recognize your stress patterns and “triggers” and how stress affects your life.
- Overcome old habits of reactivity and learn to respond mindfully.
- Learn mindfulness approaches to manage physical, emotional, or psychological stress and
difficulty in an effective way.
- Connect with your own wisdom and learn to relax tension.
- Develop tools to work with and transform stressful situations.
- Communicate more effectively and improve your relationships.
- Re-establish balance in your life.
- Improve your health, and restore a sense of well-being and ease to your life.

Tribal Bellydance - Level 1 Foundations with Shay Moore
You'll be dancing from the very first class! These classes will get us moving to the global groove as students develop core tribal bellydance movements with strength, grace, and flexibility. Join us to learn to move in new ways and feel confident being present in your own body. Women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and experience are welcome! Students will need to purchase high quality student zils (finger cymbals), which can be found at Saroyan Mastercrafts--either Afghanis or Grecians are recommended.

Sessions are $75 for six weeks, $15 drop-in

Water Sense in the Pool at m'illumino with Bridget Thompson
Touch the elemental waters! Supported in the water by the practitioner you are guided through fluent movement combinations to restore your joints for balance, alignment and coordination--for grace and presence. Space is limited, registration required. Please call to register.

Our Instructors
Bridget Thompson, GCFP
Feldenkrais Practitioner® and director of m’illumino, draws on her experience in dance, yoga, aikido, zazen (zen meditation), midwifery and the Feldenkrais Method®. For over 30 years she has studied what it means to learn and heal, teaching people of all ages in Africa, Europe and North America. Her emphasis, interest and passion are in the illumination of Self, and the expression of Spirit through the individual - but really she is simply compelled to MOVE and loves to find the most graceful, natural and effective way of doing just that.

Erica Rayner-Horn
Psychotherapist, professionally trained MBSR instructor, meditation teacher and author of CD Finding Tranquility-Mindfulness Meditations for Stressful TimesLeeAnn Starovasnik
Since 1999 she has been expanding from coaching quality process improvements in technology and financial services businesses to facilitating others to embody continuous personal improvements using the Feldenkrais Method®. She has designed series of lessons in Everyday Ease™ and Balance in Action™ for computer users, seniors, caregivers, artists, dog walkers and curious souls from all walks of life. She loves applying her well-honed observation, intuition and problem-solving skills to creatively help clients discover or recover how to move efficiently and comfortably through life with the “no pain, more gain” philosophy.
Shay Moore
Shay has been joyfully teaching tribal bellydance for over 10 years, and is certified by some of the most well-respected bellydance teachers and mentors in the world. Over the years she has cross-trained in diverse formats (ATS, GCBD, Suhaila, and Jamila), which give her a unique perspective on this beautiful art form. Proven to be a nurturing teacher with a great sense of humor, Shay loves to help students succeed. She considers herself a joyful facilitator to each student, helping them pursue their bliss in the bellydance world; an ambition which is validated in her popular weekly classes and sold out workshops around the country. Shay finds that the sense of community created with tribal bellydance is a uniquely beautiful and empowering force in her life, and she is honored and thrilled to be sharing this experience with others.
